About our Products
All of our beef, pork, veal, lamb, and turkey is raised locally on the Quist family farm in the Cowichan Valley using no added hormones, antibiotics or animal byproducts. Both our farm and store are owned, and operated by the Quist family, who have been farming in the Cowhichan Valley since 1928.
We naturally age our beef about 21-28 days, and it can be seen hanging in the back cooler behind large windows. We offer a large selection of cuts in our fresh counter and anything that we don't have we can cut to order.
All of our deli products are made in store and we also make over 40 different types of fresh sausage, most of which have no gluten. If you have any allergies, or food intolerance just ask us and we can help you find something.
We offer a wide range of services including:
- Locker orders
- Fresh Counter with a large selection of cuts
- Hot Case, sandwiches, and meals
- Custom cutting of beef, pork, veal, and lamb
- Complimentary knife sharpening
- Specialty cuts
- Special batch sausage (11 lb minimum order)
The farm is also able to slaughter your beef, veal, pork, and lamb, at our government inspected slaughter house. For pricing, and to make an appointment please phone the farm at 250-246-9500. Your beef, veal, pork, or lamb may then be cut and wrapped at the store for an additional fee. There is also the option to make sausage, bacon, and ham for an additional charge.
